Monkeys Then vs Now
Monkeys then: * Can fly * Engaged in warfare * Built Bridges * Carried mountains to cure diseases Monkeys now: * Steals Covid-19 test kits * Spreads Diseases
A muscular mythological monkey holding a mountain is compared with a seated ordinary monkey. The joke contrasts legendary monkeys’ heroic feats with modern monkeys stealing COVID-19 test kits and spreading diseases, parodying the decline from mythic grandeur to mischievous behavior.
