Germany's 1914–1918 Escalation
Austria-Hungary: Germany could you assist me in my quarrel with Serbia? Germany: Ja, no problem. Germany: 1914 1915-1916 1917 1918
A husky wearing different military helmets appears in four panels labeled 1914, 1915-1916, 1917, and 1918. The joke references Germany entering World War I to support Austria-Hungary, then escalating from confident intervention to total disaster, symbolized by the dog falling into the water. It is sent as a historical reaction to situations where a supposedly simple favor spirals into catastrophe.
