Reject Modernity Embrace Tradition
REJECT MODERNITY EMBRACE TRADITION
A split-image meme contrasts a stylized dark-haired goth woman with a heavily edited scene or emo girl. The joke presents an older alternative aesthetic as the preferred “tradition” over a newer or more polished version, and is used ironically to express nostalgia or approval of an outdated style.
