Divorce? Watch Evangelion

Text on the meme

Mother ❤️ Your father and I are getting a divorce damn that’s crazy. watch neon genesis evangelion

What it means

A child receives a message from their mother announcing that she and his father are getting divorced, but responds by casually recommending Neon Genesis Evangelion. The joke is the absurdly detached reaction and the implication that the famously depressing anime is an appropriate response to family tragedy.
