Cat Promises to Be Good

Text on the meme

Hello! I'm here! I'll be your best friend! Hello? I'm a good kitty... I promise...

What it means

A six-panel cartoon shows a cat in a cage trying to convince someone that it will be a good pet, followed by photos of sad, tearful cats. The joke is the exaggerated emotional manipulation: the cat’s desperate promises make the viewer feel guilty and want to adopt it.
