Tom and Jerry Meet Evangelion

Text on the meme

Whats up Tom and Jerry Hello Shinji and Kaworu

What it means

A four-panel meme compares the anime pairing Shinji and Kaworu with Tom and Jerry. The punchline comes from treating the emotionally intense Evangelion relationship like the chaotic cartoon friendship between the cat and mouse, ending with Tom facing Evangelion Unit-01. It is used as an absurd crossover reaction to compare two unlikely duos. EN: A four-panel meme compares the anime pairing Shinji and Kaworu with Tom and Jerry.
