Halloween Costume vs Boyfriend

What it means

A split-image comparison shows a woman in a dark, elaborate Halloween costume on the left and her boyfriend wearing a crude yellow cartoon-face mask on the right. The joke is the extreme contrast between her carefully styled costume and his homemade, chaotic disguise, with the gibberish text adding to the absurdity. It is used as a reaction to mismatched effort or when one person takes a theme much more seriously than another.
