Text on the meme

family friend who came to visit us me coming out of my room to get water

What it means

A family friend shakes hands with a socially awkward person who has left his room only to get water. The joke exaggerates how someone can treat a brief trip outside their room like an unexpected social encounter, making it a reaction to avoiding people or staying isolated.
