My Character Drives the Cutscene

Cutscene NPC’s My character

A three-panel gaming meme shows a pink car labeled “Cutscene,” a stern passenger labeled “NPC’s,” and a pink-clad driver labeled “My character.” The joke is that non-player characters look serious and cinematic during cutscenes, while the player character appears ridiculous or oddly dressed when gameplay returns. It is used as a reaction to games where the protagonist’s appearance clashes with the serious story.
