Thomas in History Books

Text on the meme

The US in US history books The US in almost every other history book The US in Japanese history books

What it means

EN: A three-panel meme featuring characters from Thomas & Friends: in US history books, Thomas looks friendly; in most other history books, he menacingly holds the Earth; and in Japanese history books, he falls from the sky. The joke mocks the difference between American and foreign portrayals of the US's historical role.
