Country Roads Dead or Pretending
HOW DO WE KNOW IF THEY'RE ACTUALLY DEAD OR JUST PRETENDING Country roads Take me home I belong To the place West Virginia
A cartoon shows two armored guards standing over numerous motionless bodies, while the panels pair the question of whether they are really dead with the lyrics “Country roads, take me home, I belong to West Virginia.” The joke uses the cheerful, familiar song against an absurdly grim scene, making it useful as a darkly humorous reaction to chaos or mass failure.
