Like a Prince
Me: Mom, am I beautiful? My mom: Like a prince! The Prince:
A three-panel collage shows portraits of princes with increasingly awkward and unattractive facial features. The joke takes the mother’s compliment literally: instead of meaning “handsome,” she says “like a prince,” and the portraits reveal that princes can look strange or unappealing. It is used as a self-deprecating reaction to an awkward appearance or a backhanded compliment.
