Political Cats Become Affectionate

political

Two cats sit together on a bed under the caption “political,” initially looking stern and suspicious. As Mehmet Zeki Barak’s “Çe Kal Felsefesi” plays in a Turkish folk-inspired style, they gradually turn toward each other and cuddle, making the joke work through the contrast between serious political imagery and sudden tender cat affection. It works as a reaction to political tension that unexpectedly becomes soft or conciliatory.
