Body Standards Throughout History
Body standards throughout history: 1200 1970 2000 2019
A four-panel collage compares idealized body standards from 1200, 1970, 2000, and 2019. The first three panels show slim women in white swimsuits, while the 2019 panel shows an overweight older man, creating an absurd joke about changing beauty ideals and modern standards. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to exaggerate how contemporary expectations have supposedly changed. EN: A four-panel collage compares idealized body standards from 1200, 1970, 2000, and 2019.
