30TH CENTURY-FOX PRESENTS PLANET OF THE POKEMON DIRECTED BY MISTY J. SCHAFFNER SCREENPLAY BY BROCK WILSON ASHTON HESTON PRODUCED BY NINTD PRODUCTIONS BASED ON A NOVEL BY PIERRE BOULE

What it means

A vintage-style yellow movie poster shows Pikachu and two other Pokémon-like creatures restraining a laughing shirtless man. It parodies the classic Planet of the Apes poster by replacing the apes with Pokémon and changing the title to Planet of the Pokémon, creating an absurd crossover joke. It is used as a reaction to bizarre fan-made mashups and ridiculous movie concepts.
