Cats Working on Impossible Projects

Text on the meme

whas he workin on? whos gon tell bro 😭

What it means

A fast-paced compilation of cats acting intensely focused, confused, sleepy, or dramatically involved in human activities: one appears to yawn, others inspect objects, stare at a laptop, pose like they are working, and ride an escalator. The captions jokingly treat their random cat behavior as serious work, ending with a cat stuck on an escalator and the question of who will tell him the truth. The clip is set to The Smiths’ melancholic indie rock song “Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now,” whose gloomy mood makes the cats’ overdramatic expressions and absurd situations funnier.
