Pawn Reaches the End

The pawn after reaching the end of the chessboard

An animated video cycles through glamorous anime-style women in sunlit outdoor scenes, a train station, and dreamy close-ups under Kali Uchis’s “Moonlight,” a smooth dreamy alternative R&B/pop track. The caption jokes that a chess pawn reaching the opposite end promotes into a queen, so the once-ordinary pawn transforms into an increasingly stylish and attractive woman; it is used as a reaction to sudden glow-ups, upgrades, or reaching a new level.
