A fast-cut video cycles through anime girls, a cat-eared character, Adolf Hitler footage, and a muscular man holding an anime image. The recurring switch between cute anime scenes and increasingly strange historical and reaction shots creates an absurd escalation, while Playboi Carti’s “9Am in Calabasas” gives the montage a cool, atmospheric music-video feel. It works as a reaction to suddenly returning to an anime obsession or embracing an unexpectedly unhinged mood.
