Me on My Birthday vs Yours

Me on my birthday Me on someone else's birthday

What it means

A split-screen video contrasts Walter White quietly assembling a bacon-and-eggs breakfast and drinking alone on his own birthday with a bald, bearded man dancing exuberantly in a nightclub on someone else’s birthday. The joke is the exaggerated difference between being subdued and miserable on your own birthday but absurdly energetic when celebrating someone else’s. Tame Impala’s psychedelic pop-rock song “Let It Happen” amplifies the escalating, euphoric party mood and makes the reaction feel even more over-the-top.
