It's a Beautiful Sunset

It's a beautiful...

A pixel-art video shows a group of dark fantasy characters standing together on a cliff and watching a glowing sunset over mountains and a distant castle, with two bright fires among them. Nothing changes dramatically over the 17-second clip; the unfinished caption and serene scene create an intentionally ominous, bittersweet reaction about finding beauty in a bleak or dangerous world. Toby Fox’s gentle video-game ambient music, “Respite,” makes the moment feel reflective and melancholic, heightening the contrast between the beautiful view and the threatening silhouettes.
