Running Out of It Is What It Is

Warning You are running out of "it is what it is". Are you sure you want to continue? Yes No Help

A man in dark winter clothes slowly slides and collapses down snowy outdoor stairs while an old Windows-style warning dialog remains on screen: “You are running out of ‘it is what it is.’” The joke treats emotional resignation like a limited resource, making the man’s increasingly helpless fall a visual representation of finally running out of coping power. The clip is set to Memo Boy’s “Brian is the Most Beautiful,” whose dreamy, melancholic electronic music makes the absurd situation feel dramatically tragic and deadpan.
