Apple Locks 120Hz to 60Hz
October 27 news: Blogger @有没有搞掂 posted, revealing that the OLED panel equipped in the iPad mini (A20 Pro) released by Apple last night is actually a 120Hz refresh rate panel locked to 60Hz. Panel manufacturer: You asked when the entire industry doesn't even have 60Hz production lines! Apple: Then I'll just lock it to 60Hz in software.
A screenshot jokes about Apple using a 120Hz OLED panel in the iPad mini but restricting it to 60Hz through software. The panel manufacturer sarcastically points out that Apple asked for 60Hz despite the industry not even having 60Hz production lines, mocking Apple's cost-cutting and arbitrary hardware limitations.
