Mountain Lion Turns Out Fat Cat

Text on the meme

NEWS MOUNTAIN LION THAT MADE SCHOOLS GO INTO LOCKDOWN TURNED OUT TO BE A ‘FAT ASS CAT’ EATING A RAT

What it means

A large orange cat sits in front of a sign showing a mountain lion, creating the illusion that it is a dangerous wild animal. The joke is that a supposed mountain lion that caused school lockdowns was actually just a fat house cat eating a rat, making the frightening news story absurd. This meme is used as a reaction to exaggerated fears, mistaken identity, or dramatic overreactions.
