Fixing Code Without Comments
Fixing someone else’s code that has no comments!
A person works on an electrical transformer beside a road in a dry, sandy area, and it suddenly explodes, sending up flames, dust, and smoke. The joke compares debugging someone else’s undocumented code to tampering with dangerous wiring: without comments, the fix can catastrophically backfire. It is used as a programmer reaction meme when unfamiliar code is confusing or risky to modify.
