Smart Fridge Popup Ads
My smart fridge had a software update and I cannot turn off popup ads. Is this illegal? I bought a FamilyHub fridge from Samsung about a year ago. There are these recipe and entertainment pop ups that began appearing after a software update. I contacted Samsung to see how I remove these, and they said the apps creating the popups cannot be removed. I would not have bought this fridge if there were going to be unwanted recipe and tv show ads. I am also beyond the date of the fridge’s return policy. Is there a type of consumer class action I can create? (California) LIVE KACZYNSKI REACTION
A screenshot of a consumer-law post complains that a Samsung FamilyHub smart fridge began showing unavoidable recipe and entertainment advertisements after a software update. Below it, Ted Kaczynski reacts with a grim expression, jokingly implying that intrusive smart-home advertising can push someone toward an extreme anti-technology stance. It is used as a reaction to frustrating software updates, forced ads, and unwanted smart-device features.
