Saving for the Dream Home
2017: “We're going to live here while we save for our dream home” 2023
A video first shows a modest mobile home with the caption “2017: ‘We're going to live here while we save for our dream home’.” It then cuts to a large RAM pickup and pans past another mobile home before ending on an empty roadside view labeled “2023.” The joke is that years of saving apparently led to another trailer rather than the promised dream house, while Jason Aldean’s country song “The Truth” adds a melodramatic, bittersweet soundtrack to the ironic reveal.
