Friend Explains the Tower of Babel
my friend when i ask him how much longer it will take to build the tower of babel
A man in traditional-looking clothing sits outdoors and dramatically sings or reacts while the caption says this is what a friend does when asked how long the Tower of Babel will take to build. The joke combines the biblical story of confused languages with an absurdly prolonged construction project; the ironic reaction is underscored by Saidash Mongush’s Tuvan ethno/world music song “Udugen Taiga,” whose solemn, atmospheric sound makes the scene feel epic and comically overdramatic. The clip ends with a TikTok outro.
