Twitter Bots Were Everyone
I lost around 50,000 followers since Twitter began banning bots. I'm now sitting at around 90 followers. Every single one of my mutuals I've interacted with in the past 8 years have been bots and I never even realized. Go beyond the obvious here, and realize how frightening it is that there are social media influencers out there who truly believe the majority is on their side, but it was all bot accounts all along; no one was actually listening to them. They were yelling into a void, which was sending back fake voices of approval and affirmation. If that isn't a modern horror story, you're not paying attention.
