A Realistic Feature Timeline

Text on the meme

PM: How soon can you deliver this new feature? The engineering team: Could be one month Could be two months Three months? Could be One year? That's a realistic timeline

What it means

A collage from The Office shows an engineering team gradually extending a software feature delivery estimate from one month to one year, ending with “That’s a realistic timeline.” The joke captures how development deadlines expand when a team gives increasingly honest estimates, and it is used as a reaction to unrealistic project schedules.
