What it means

An anime-style diagram shows different levels of contagion between two people, ranging from very high to none as distance and masks reduce exposure. The punchline replaces contagion with the Linux-versus-GNU/Linux naming debate, humorously treating Linux as a minor component of the larger GNU system. It is sent as a nerdy reaction to pedantic corrections about calling the operating system simply Linux.
