What Is Postmodern Programming

Text on the meme

Quote from Amazon job description: Programming experience in, at least, one *modern* programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl What is Kotlin and Rust then - postmodern?

What it means

A tweet quotes an Amazon job description requiring experience in at least one “modern” programming language, listing older languages such as C, C++, Java, and Perl. The joke is that Kotlin and Rust are newer languages, so by comparison they must be “postmodern.” It is used as a witty reaction to outdated terminology or confusing job requirements.
