Quarantine Time Stonks
*quarantine time* Cobol Developers: COBOL dev. stonks
A mannequin in a suit labeled “COBOL dev.” stands confidently in front of rising stock-market numbers and an upward arrow. The joke is that quarantine creates unexpected demand and job opportunities for COBOL developers, making their career prospects go “stonks.” It is used as an ironic reaction to an absurdly positive outcome.
