Cat Lost in the Sauce

Text on the meme

lost in the sauce

What it means

A black-and-white cat sits at a table while someone squeezes whipped cream from a tube onto its head, gradually covering its face and making it disappear behind a potted plant. The caption “lost in the sauce” humorously describes being overwhelmed or completely absorbed in something, while the escalating visual gag makes the phrase literal. The clip uses isaintjames — “Sweets,” a playful electronic track, to heighten the absurd, carefree mood and comic timing.
