Returns to Poland and Dies
in the final lesson of my intro polish textbook, the main character “returns to Poland and dies” wrócił ........ do Polski umart
A screenshot of a tweet jokes that an introductory Polish textbook ends with its main character returning to Poland and dying. The punchline comes from the grim, absurd lesson illustration and the Polish captions beneath it, making language learning seem dramatically morbid.
