No Dogs Better Than My Dog
Dogs that are better than my dog NONE
A tiny cream-colored Chihuahua rests on a couch while the camera briefly shows a laptop slideshow of supposedly superior dogs, labeled “NONE,” before returning to the Chihuahua’s close-up. The joke is affectionate self-deprecation: despite the impressive dogs shown, the owner insists their own goofy, wide-eyed dog is unbeatable. The dramatic music, Kohei Tanaka and Shirou Hamaguchi’s “母なる海,” makes the absurd declaration feel grand and heartfelt, turning the dog’s blank stare into a triumphant punchline.
