Nepotism Gets a VIP Booth
I initially rejected a candidate's CV twice. However, when he applied a third time, I decided to invite him for an interview. We offered him a role immediately after the interview. Why? Because I realised he was the brother to a mega famous pop star. Now, a year later, he's terrible at his job and costing the business a lot with his mistakes. But I get a VIP booth at his sister's concerts. Sometimes money and profit isn't everything. Status is also important.
A LinkedIn-style post describes hiring an incompetent candidate because he is the brother of a hugely famous pop star. The punchline is that the employer tolerates his costly mistakes in exchange for VIP access to the sister’s concerts, satirising nepotism, celebrity connections, and status-driven decisions.
