Polish Babcia Kerchief Debate
A girl from Poland commented last week, that women in Poland do not wear kerchiefs. "Chusteczki, czy Babuszkas"! babcias in the villages and small towns still do. I often watch Polish chef Tomasz Strzelczyk with his babcia. She ALWAYS is wearing a kerchief. Not sure why if no one wears it anymore...
A screenshot of a social media comment thread discussing whether women in Poland still wear kerchiefs. The joke is that commenters contradict the claim by pointing out village grandmothers and Polish chef Tomasz Strzelczyk’s babcia, who always wears one. It is used as a humorous reaction to overgeneralizations about cultural traditions.
