Complex State Machine Compilation
me returning to my complex state machine code after compilation to see that it has now been reduced to a single line of LLVM IR
A long-snouted dog stares intensely at a pineapple on a windowsill. The joke compares the bewildered reaction to seeing complicated source code optimized by compilation into one seemingly mysterious line of LLVM intermediate representation, making it useful for programmers reacting to opaque or over-optimized code.
