Bond’s Cyanide Emergency Kit

Here Bond, a cyanide pill disguised as a mint. You can use it to kill yourself in a pinch. And this Bond, is your watch. It’s fitted with a detonator to kill yourself if necessary. And of course your gun, the Walther PPK. Only one bullet though so save it for if you’re captured.

A fictional handler equips James Bond with a cyanide pill, an explosive watch, and a Walther PPK. The joke exaggerates the grim spy-movie habit of carrying suicide devices and presents self-destruction as ordinary field equipment. It is used as a dark, absurd reaction to dangerous situations or overpreparedness.
