The It Is What It Is Friend

Text on the meme

the "it is what it is" friend after the most heart wrenching event of his life (he said he's fine)

What it means

A man in a gym performs a series of increasingly exaggerated exercises while the captions label him as the “it is what it is” friend after the most heart-wrenching event of his life. The joke is that he insists he is fine, but channels his emotional devastation into relentless, awkward exercise; Deftones’ dreamy, melancholic song “Sextape” makes the reaction feel dramatically tragic and absurd at the same time.
