Apple Announces Digital Legacy

Text on the meme

Woah Apple, spoilers Apple ID. Account Recovery Contacts makes resetting your password and maintaining access to your account easier than ever. And a new Digital Legacy program lets you designate people as Legacy Contacts so they can access your account in the event of your death.* * Coming later this year.

What it means

A screenshot of an Apple announcement describes a Digital Legacy feature that lets designated contacts access someone’s account after their death. The joke is that Apple casually spoils the user’s impending death while presenting it as a routine account-management feature.
