Mario Hears Beethoven Is Dead

Text on the meme

Beethoven is died

What it means

Mario reads the comment “Beethoven is died” on his phone, then slowly lowers his head in exaggerated grief while a stern portrait of Ludwig van Beethoven looms above. The joke is the grammatically incorrect announcement treated as devastating news, with Mario’s melodramatic reaction amplified by the mournful regional Mexican music from BiMaito’s “Contrabando.” EN: Mario reads the comment “Beethoven is died” on his phone, then slowly lowers his head in exaggerated grief while a stern portrait of Ludwig van Beethoven looms above.
