Cat Doesn't Understand Mum's Problems

when mum starts complaining about her job but you literally only know your own name and the sound of food being opened

A black-and-white cat wearing a collar sits on a bed as the camera slowly zooms in on its serious, confused expression. The joke is that the cat cannot understand its mother’s work complaints and only recognises its own name and the sound of food being opened. Hoobastank’s dramatic alternative rock song “The Reason” makes the cat’s blank stare feel comically emotional and overdramatic.
