BREAKING NEWS DONALD TRUMP INDICTED MSNBC BEAT

What it means

A televised news broadcast shows a woman speaking as a black-and-white cat climbs out of a round bowl or vase behind her, briefly disappearing behind her hair before the video cuts to a private jet on a runway. The absurd interruption undercuts the serious breaking-news headline, making it useful as a reaction to sudden distraction, chaos, or an unexpected change of subject.
