Modified Payphone Discord Mic

my friend joins the discord call and it sounds like she's radioing in from antarctica and she's like "i hope it doesn't sound too bad, im using a modified payphone as a mic" then proceeds to send this to the chat

A screenshot of a tweet describes a friend joining a Discord call with extremely poor, distant audio, claiming to use a modified payphone as a microphone. The attached photo shows a beige payphone handset positioned in front of a computer monitor and microphone arm, making the absurd excuse look strangely believable. It is sent as a reaction to terrible audio quality, bizarre tech setups, or someone making an over-the-top excuse.
