Sun Microsystems Containerization
Sun Microsystems, circa 2006. Research engineer: We strongly believe that the future of data centers is containerization. Marketing department: Got you, fam: Sun Microsystems microsystems
A screenshot of a social media post jokes about Sun Microsystems interpreting a research engineer’s prediction about data-center containerization literally by putting its computing equipment inside a shipping container. The punchline is the clash between technical jargon and an absurd marketing presentation.
