Firstly, Let Me State That

Text on the meme

Firstly, let me state that I'm not a pedophile. But

What it means

A minimalist Reddit-style video displays the sentence “Firstly, let me state that I'm not a pedophile,” then adds “But” as Ennio Morricone’s dramatic, escalating orchestral theme “L'estasi dell'oro” from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly plays. The deliberate cliffhanger implies an alarming or incriminating confession is about to follow, with the grand music making the unfinished sentence absurdly dramatic. It works as a reaction to someone making a suspicious disclaimer or obviously preparing to say something terrible.
