Visiting Grandpa With Dementia
me visiting my grandpa with dementia for the 5th time this week
A dark, cinematic video shows an armored figure approaching through a snowy, foggy landscape, followed by several figures appearing near a dimly lit structure. The caption jokes that repeatedly visiting a grandparent with dementia feels like being dramatically reintroduced as a stranger every time. Bear McCreary’s ominous, epic music from “The Hand of Odin” makes the ordinary family situation feel like a grim fantasy boss encounter.
