The Zen of Vibecoding
• The Zen of Vibecoding, by Some Chill Guy Vibes are better than specs. Shipped is better than clean. Copy-paste is better than understanding. "It works on my machine" is better than knowing why. Nested is fine. Flat is fine. Whatever the AI gave me is fine. Reading code is optional. Running it counts. Special cases? Just add another if. Although prompting again beats debugging. Errors should pass silently. Especially when wrapped in try/except: pass. In the face of ambiguity, hit regenerate and hope. There should be many -- and preferably conflicting --ways to do it. Because I asked three different chatbots. Deploy now is better than test ever. Although Friday 6pm is often the best time of all. If the implementation is hard to explain, that's the AI's problem. If the implementation is easy to explain, I still won't read it. node_modules is one honking great idea -- let's commit that to git!
A faux Zen-style list celebrates chaotic AI-assisted programming habits: copying code, skipping tests, regenerating prompts, and deploying on Friday evening. The joke is a parody of software engineering wisdom, presenting reckless “vibecoding” practices as if they were calm philosophical principles.
