The meme shows Doge standing in a chaotic, apocalyptic street scene in 2020, then appearing battle-scarred and armed during an alien invasion in 2021. The joke is that each new year feels so much worse that people begin nostalgically remembering the previous disaster as a better time, using it as a reaction to worsening crises.
